How a Miami Artist Built a Fine Art Printing Studio That Helps Creatives Thrive

Years ago, I was just like many creatives I work with today—trying to produce high-quality photo prints and constantly disappointed by what local printing services offered. I had learned the craft of fine art printing in college, where precision and technique were at the core of our training. I knew exactly how my museum-quality art prints were supposed to look.

But once I left college, I couldn’t find a photo printing lab in Miami that could meet those standards. Online platforms failed at color accuracy. Local print shops made it a quick transaction—no test strips, input, or collaboration.

After too many disappointing results and wasted money, my husband looked at me and said:

“Why don’t you buy your own printer?”

At first, I thought it was a wild idea! It was such an expensive item!. But we did it.

That 44-inch large-format printer, purchased initially just for my personal use, was the spark behind Wynwood Editions. I dove into learning everything I could—reading technical guides, practicing relentlessly, and even flying to New England for a workshop with master printer John Paul Caponigro. Before long, other artists started asking me to create prints for them.

What started out of frustration turned into a service I deeply believed in: custom photo printing, guided by the eye of an artist.

Wynwood Editions was born in the Wynwood Art District—back when it was still a gritty, thriving hub of studios and emerging galleries.

Today, it’s a fully developed artist-run print studio that offers:

• Fine art printing in Miami

• High-resolution art scanning services

• Framing and installation services

• Turnkey support for exhibitions, hospitality, and public art prects

Our mission is simple: help artists, designers, and creative professionals bring their visions to life with care, craft, and expertise.

We remain the only artist-run photo lab in Miami. As a proud woman-owned business and minority-led studio, I believe deeply in the ripple effect this work creates for artists, galleries, collectors, and creative entrepreneurs.
